When you're in high school, it can feel like nothing else matters but popularity. As you may know now, high school is but a speck in the universe that is your life. In fact, studies show that high school popularity may indicate an unhappiness later in life.
Now before you go on your Facebook comment rant about how YOU were popular in high school and you couldn't be happier, first of all congratulations, but second of all, this study highlights the fact that popularity isn't always the most important thing in in life. What matters is the quality relationships you make and that mental health is more important than peer admiration.
